UFC LIVE: Vera vs. Jones

   Is Filipino Brandon "The Truth" Vera on his way down of his career in UFC? Well let's hope not after his loss against the young and hungry Jon Jones at UFC Live: Vera vs. Jones.

   But the truth for "The Truth" is, his future is still uncertain after he reportedly suffered three fractures on his right cheekbone when he received a single vicious elbow from Jones which ended the fight at 3:19 of round one.


   "The whole right side of Brandon's face was numb," Matt Stansell, Vera's manager, said on an interview at MMAjunkie.com. Vera will likely need clearance from a doctor before he can be issued a license to fight again, just like in any contact sports.


  Both fighters faced each other coming off a loss. Jones (10-1, 5 KO), had his record blemished against Matt Hamill in a DQ loss. Vera (11-7, 5 KO), recently fought UFC legend Randy Couture, which resulted to a controversial  unanimous decision loss last November.
