UFC 112: Silva vs. Maia

For most fans and UFC president Dana White, Anderson Silva defeated Demian Maia in a disappointing manner. They even thought that Silva also made a mockery of the sport.

Silva fought hard the proper way for the first 3 rounds, even breaking Maia's nose in the process. But spent the last two rounds running around, making faces, odd motions and even banging the cage. Disapointed over Silva, White tossed his belt over Silva's manager Ed Soares.

White looked angry when he walked into the conference room for the post-fight interview and didn’t pull any punches when he began to speak.

"I’ll answer the questions about what a disgrace the main event was and what an embarrassment it is,” White said almost immediately upon taking the lectern postfight. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more embarrassed in 10 years of being in this business. It’s the first time I’ve ever walked out of a main event.”

Anderson Silva def. Demian Maia by unanimous decision
Frankie Edgar def. BJ Penn by unanimous decision
Matt Hughes def. Renzo Gracie via third-round TKO
Rafael Dos Anjos def. Terry Etim via submission (armbar)
Mark Munoz def. Kendall Grove by second-round TKO
